Read the poem carefully and answer the questions that follow:

 

Boats sail on the rivers,

And ships sail on the seas;

But clouds that sail across the sky

Are prettier than these.

There are bridges on the rivers,

As pretty as you please;

But the bow that bridges heaven,

And overtops the trees,

And builds a road from earth to sky,

Is prettier far than these.

ACTIVITY – 4

 

Suppose one day you went with your brother to a countryside where you suddenly saw a rainbow after a little shower of rain. Write in your own words how you enjoyed the moment in five complete sentences. Also draw a picture of the rainbow and the landscape that you experienced.

 

Wonderful Rainbow

I had an opportunity to go to a village during the rainy season. My best friend lives there. One day the environment of the village countryside was fresh and cool after a little shower of rain. I was wandering in the nearby field with my friend. Suddenly we saw a rainbow in the sky. I was so astonished and glad to see the rainbow because did not see it before. It was the first time when I had witnessed a rising rainbow. We both saw a marvellous view. We could see all the colours clearly in the rainbow. We watched the rainbow for a couple of minutes and then it faded away.
