Identify which of the following statements are True and which are False. Give a supporting statement for each of your answers:

S.S>> Two of us in the churchyard lie,

(a) Pick out the expressions that describe the appearance of the girl.

Ans.> The girl was simple. She was a little cottage  girl. She was eight years old. Her hair was thick with a many a curl.

 

(b) With whom did the girl live?

Ans.> The girl was lived with her mother, brothers and sisters. 

 

(c) What does the girl say about her living brothers and sisters? 

Ans.>  Though two of her brothers and sisters are dead, the little girl wanted to  say there uniformity.

 

(d) Why does the girl say,”we are seven”?

Ans.>  The girl says that they are seven brothers and sisters in all. Two of them dwells at Conway, two of them had gone to sea and two of them lied in the churchyard.

Make sentences with the following words:

 

(i) dwell :>  Where does she dwell?

(ii) clustered :> People clustered around the market stalls.

(iii) rustic :> He met a rustic girl.

(iv) grave :> She laid flowers on the grave.

(v) maid :> I have turned off my maid.

Make sentences with the following pairs of homonyms:

 

(i)   met :>  He met the girl. |  mate :>  He's an old mate of mine.

(ii) hair :> Hair is black. | hare :>  The hunter took aim at the hare.

(iii) wonder :> He met a rustic girl. | wander :> Her mind began to wander.

(iv) two :> One and one is two. | to :> you may go to market.

(v) there :> He went there. |  their :> It is their cow.
