Now the boy whose name was Jon, had always obeyed his mother. So he went about his farm work with a heavy heart but did not again mention the sea.

She set out to cross the Atlantic Ocean, and she carried more than two thousand passengers. The Titanic was like a floating town. Everyone called the Titanic, the finest ship in the world. Everyone was proud of her. She was tall as a building with fifteen storeys.

A. Complete the following sentences with information from the above passage :

(iii) The name of the country from where Titanic started its maiden voyage is England.

Trees are man's best friend since early days. They gave us flowers, fruits ,shelter and food to men. Woods are used for different purposes. Planks are used as doors, windows and walls of houses. We get wood to make furniture. Some trees like cinchona are also used as medicines for deadly diseases. Trees give out oxygen and prevent air pollution. They also take in carbon dioxide and help reducing global warming. Trees check the erosion of land and bring rain which is important for agriculture. We must preserve trees for our own well-being and human survival.
