National Integration
Today no country in the world can claim a single communal identity. Different communities live side by side in a state. They all belong to the same nation and live together in peace and amity. This sense of emotional oneness in a land of composite culture is what we call national integration. Now, national integration is of paramount importance for a country like India. For it is a multilingual and multiracial state. From time immemorial people of diverse communities have been living here peacefully. In fact, unity in diversity is the very strength of her civilization. But unfortunately, religious intolerance is out to wreck the unity, integrity, and solidarity of the nation. It must be stamped out at any cost. Religious fanatics should be identified and isolated. Besides, the removal of poverty and castism, and the restoration of moral and political sanity are the need of the hour.

আজ পৃথিবীর কোনো দেশই একক সাম্প্রদায়িক পরিচয় দাবি করতে পারে না। একটি রাজ্যে বিভিন্ন সম্প্রদায় পাশাপাশি বাস করে। তারা সকলেই একই জাতির অন্তর্গত এবং শান্তি ও বন্ধুত্বে একসাথে বসবাস করে। যৌগিক সংস্কৃতির দেশে এই আবেগগত একতাকে আমরা জাতীয় সংহতি বলি। এখন, ভারতের মতো দেশের জন্য জাতীয় সংহতি অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। কারণ এটি একটি বহুভাষিক ও বহুজাতিক রাষ্ট্র। আদিকাল থেকে বিভিন্ন সম্প্রদায়ের মানুষ এখানে শান্তিপূর্ণভাবে বসবাস করে আসছে। প্রকৃতপক্ষে, বৈচিত্র্যের মধ্যে ঐক্যই তার সভ্যতার শক্তি। কিন্তু দুর্ভাগ্যবশত, ধর্মীয় অসহিষ্ণুতা জাতির ঐক্য, অখণ্ডতা ও সংহতিকে নষ্ট করে দিচ্ছে। এটা যে কোন মূল্যে নির্মূল করা আবশ্যক। ধর্মান্ধদের চিহ্নিত করতে হবে এবং বিচ্ছিন্ন করতে হবে। এছাড়া দারিদ্র্য ও জাতিভেদ দূর করা এবং নৈতিক ও রাজনৈতিক বিবেক ফিরিয়ে আনা এখন সময়ের দাবি।
