I received your letter yesterday. Hope you are keeping well. Today I will share my joyful experience with you about our favourite and grand festival Durga puja. The Durga Puja is the greatest festival of the Bangalees. Durga puja is generally held in September or October and it continues for four days. In this festival we meet our friends, relatives and those who live far away from us. They come home only to enjoy together. So this festival makes possible a communion of souls and we all love it very much. It is observed once a year in the autumn. The goddess Durga is the symbol of strength and power. She is worshiped along with her children Laxmi, Saraswati, Kartik, and Ganesh. The idol of Durga show her as holding in her ten hands and killing the Demon. The goddess Durga symbolises the victory of good over evil.
