Good Manners
Good manners are the signs of good breeding. They make one gentleman. They indicate culture and refinement. They are of immense value in our daily life. In social interactions, we should be free and fair, just and impartial. We should be polite and unselfish in our dealings. A man of good manners is delightfully accepted in society. He never hurts the feelings of others. When a young man offers his seat to an old fellow passenger or a man awaiting calmly his turn to speak in a group discussion, he teaches others the invaluable lesson of good conduct. A smile or a handshake, a ‘namaskar’ or a ‘thank you’ cost us nothing. Yet we are not courteous enough to apply them. This is a sign of ill manners. In fact, home plays a vital role in the cultivation of good manners.

ভাল আচরণ ভাল লালনপালন এর লক্ষণ। তারা একজন ভদ্রলোক তৈরি করে। তারা সংস্কৃতি এবং পরিমার্জন নির্দেশ করে। আমাদের দৈনন্দিন জীবনে এগুলোর মূল্য অপরিসীম। সামাজিক মিথস্ক্রিয়ায় আমাদের মুক্ত এবং ন্যায্য, ন্যায়পরায়ণ এবং নিরপেক্ষ হওয়া উচিত। আমাদের আচরণে ভদ্র ও নিঃস্বার্থ হওয়া উচিত। ভালো আচার-ব্যবহার সম্পন্ন মানুষ সমাজে আনন্দের সাথে গৃহীত হয়। তিনি কখনই অন্যের অনুভূতিতে আঘাত করেন না। যখন একজন যুবক একজন বৃদ্ধ সহযাত্রীকে তার আসন প্রদান করে অথবা যখন একজন ব্যক্তি শান্তভাবে তার বলার সময় আসার জন্য একটি দলবদ্ধ আলোচনায় বক্তিতা করার জন্য অপেক্ষা করে, তখন সে অন্যদেরকে ভালো আচরণের অমূল্য পাঠ শেখায়। একটি হাসি বা হাত মেলানো, একটি 'নমস্কার' বা 'ধন্যবাদ' আমাদের জন্য কিছুই নয়। তবুও আমরা তাদের প্রয়োগ করার জন্য যথেষ্ট বিনয়ী নই। এটি খারাপ আচরণের লক্ষণ। প্রকৃতপক্ষে, ভাল আচার-আচরণ গড়ে তোলার ক্ষেত্রে নিজের বাড়িই একটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করে।
