AN OLD FARMER AND HIS LAZY SONS

There lived an old farmer in a village. His sons were very lazy. He was unhappy. He thought upon a plan. One day, he called his sons and asks them to dig up treasure stored in the field. The sons dig up the field but find no treasure. They were very upset. The farmer asks them to sow seeds. Days went on and the field contained a rich harvest. The sons became very happy.

The sons, finally, understood the value of hard work and started to live happily.

Moral: Hard work brings reward.

 

Activity 8(b)


Write a short paragraph in about sixty words describing your favourite season. Use the following hints:

My Favourite Season              

Spring is my favorite season.  It is a very charming season. During this season many kinds of flowers bloom. We get fresh and juicy fruits in this season. We get a lot of fresh vegetables in this season. We celebrate some festivals like ‘Holi’, ‘Charak Puja’ and ‘Basanti Puja’ in this season. A gentle wind blows from the south. The sky remains clear. I enjoy the season very much.
