The Night Sky

Nature changes her look from time to time. The common objects of nature become strange and vague sometimes. The same thing happens with the sky. The sky at night is not what we see in the daytime. The night’s sky is indeed really beautiful. As darkness descends upon the earth, the sky becomes dark. Stars come out one by one. As night approaches, they multiply. The whole sky becomes studded with the stars. The earth gets its faint light. On a moonlit night, there is another picture. The queen moon is on her throne. She grows in luster and splendor. People wonder at the beauty and glory of the luminous moon. During the rainy season, the moon is studded by patches of clouds. The earth begins to play with light and shade. The nocturnal animals roam here in there. The whole earth is lulled to sleep. It seems that nature drinks deep the fragrance of the night.

রাতের আকাশ

প্রকৃতি সময়ে সময়ে তার চেহারা পরিবর্তন করে। প্রকৃতির সাধারণ বস্তুগুলি কখনও কখনও অদ্ভুত এবং অস্পষ্ট হয়ে ওঠে। আকাশের ক্ষেত্রেও একই ঘটনা ঘটে।  আমরা দিনের বেলায় আকাশটা যেমনটা দেখি, রাতের আকাশ তেমনটা নয়। রাতের আকাশ সত্যিই খুবই সুন্দর। পৃথিবীতে যতই অন্ধকার নেমে আসে, আকাশটা ততই অন্ধকার হয়ে যায়। এক এক করে তারারা বেরিয়ে আসে। রাত যত ঘনিয়ে আসছে, তারার সংখ্যাবৃদ্ধি হয়। সারা আকাশ তারায় ছেয়ে যায়। পৃথিবী তাদের ক্ষীণ আলো পায়। চাঁদনি রাতের চিত্রটা হয় অন্য রকম। রাণী চাঁদ তার সিংহাসনে উপবিষ্ট থাকে। তাঁর দীপ্তি এবং জাঁকজমক বেড়ে যায়। আলোকিত চাঁদের সৌন্দর্য ও মহিমা দেখে মানুষ বিস্মিত হয়। বর্ষাকালে চাঁদ মেঘে ঢেকে যায়। পৃথিবী আলো-ছায়া নিয়ে খেলা শুরু করে। নিশাচর প্রাণীরা এখানে ওখানে ঘুরে বেড়ায়। সারা পৃথিবী ঘুমিয়ে শান্ত হয়। মনে হয় প্রকৃতি যেন গভীর রাতের সুবাস পান করে।
