Winter in West Bengal

Winter is a very pleasant season in West Bend. It appears here after late autumn. It lasts for a couple of months. Late autumn heralds the arrival of winter. Dew gathers on the blades of the grass. Fog and mist darken the morning. On this ready platform sets the winter. The North Wind starts blowing. The bright sun appears and makes the earth transparent. The fog gets dissolved. People come out of their houses. Children love warm sunshine. The old. let the warmth get into their bones. The climate is both bracing and invigorating. Winter is the season of outings. People go out for a change. Students arrange picnics. During this season comes off many fairs and festivals. People enjoy them to their heart's content. Fresh vegetables and fruits fill the basket of winter. However, the poor and street dwellers can’t procure warm clothes. They are to suffer the string of winter. Still, winter is welcome by the people of Bengal.

পশ্চিম বঙ্গে শীতকাল খুবই মনোরম ঋতু। এটি হেমান্ত কালের শেষের দিকে এখানে উপস্থিত হয়। এটি মাস দুয়েক স্থায়ী হয়। হেমান্ত কাল শীতের আগমনের সূচনা করে। ঘাসের ফলকে শিশির জড়ো হয়। কুয়াশা আর কুহেলিকা অন্ধকার করে সকালটাকে। এই প্রস্তুত প্ল্যাটফর্মে শীতকাল শুরু হয়। উত্তরের বাতাস বইতে শুরু করে। উজ্জ্বল সূর্য আবির্ভূত হয় এবং পৃথিবীকে স্বচ্ছ করে তোলে। কুয়াশা দ্রবীভূত হয়। মানুষ ঘর থেকে বেরিয়ে আসে। শিশুরা উষ্ণ রোদ পছন্দ করে। বৃদ্ধরা. তাদের হাড়ে উষ্ণতা প্রবেশ করায়। শিক্ষার্থীরা বনভোজনের ব্যবস্থা করে। এই ঋতুতে অনেক মেলা ও উৎসব চলে আসে। মানুষ সেগুলিকে তাদের হৃদয়ের সন্তোষ নিয়ে উপভোগ করে। তাজা শাকসবজি ও ফল শীতের ঝুড়ি ভরে দেয়। তবে গরিব ও রাস্তার বাসিন্দারা গরম কাপড় কিনতে পারে না। শীতের প্রকোপে ভুগতে হয় তাদের। তারপরেও শীতকে বরণ করে নেয় বাংলার মানুষ।
